Job Summary:

The Account Executive is responsible for developing and retaining business in the assigned region. This role requires a strong understanding of customer needs and the ability to build and maintain relationships through regular communication and collaboration with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new business opportunities through prospecting and development techniques, including cold calling and making appointments.
  • Collaborate with Operations to understand customer needs and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Develop account pricing and submit pricing requests to supervisors for approval.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and ethical manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on RRTS services and demonstrate expertise in all customer and prospect interactions.
  • Assist with collections and participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to other employees through example and sharing of knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pricing agreements, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, prospects, top management, and public groups.
  • Knowledge of Haz Mat regulations and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage time and work efficiently, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Work Environment:
  • Work in a well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Occasional outside travel in all weather conditions, including wet or humid conditions, extreme cold, and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air required.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $75,000 to $85,000 per year.
  • PTO, paid holidays, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, and 401k.
