Physician - Orthopedic Specialist - Upper Extremity

The Prisma Health Physician is responsible for providing high-quality medical services to patients. Key responsibilities include diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, defects, or injuries. The physician will recommend or prescribe treatments for the relief or cure of physical, mental, or functional ailments or defects.
Accountabilities
• Engages in the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease, defects, or injuries.
• Recommends or prescribes treatments for the relief or cure of physical, mental, or functional ailments or defects.
• Renders medical treatment to patients consistent with generally accepted professional standards of care.
• Completes accurate, legible, and timely records with respect to all medical examinations and procedures.
• Provides after-hours call coverage equally with other physicians of the Practice.
Requirements
• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Successful completion of residency; board certified or board eligible; medical staff privileges.
• South Carolina medical license; South Carolina controlled substance license; Drug Enforcement Agency number.
Work Environment
• Day shift.
• Richland-14MP location.
• 3425 Orthopedics Upper Extremity facility.
• 34251000 Orthopedics Upper Extremity-Practice Operations department.
