We are currently in search of a skilled Housekeeping Operations Manager to lead our Housekeeping Department.

This position involves overseeing all housekeeping personnel and managing the planning and allocation of tasks for the team.

You will be responsible for organizing training sessions for new hires, as well as conducting audits and evaluations of housekeeping assignments.

Additionally, you will oversee the procurement and maintenance of essential supplies while ensuring adherence to the departmental budget.

The Housekeeping Operations Manager is ultimately accountable for the cleanliness, organization, and aesthetic appeal of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Always engage with guests and staff in a courteous and service-oriented manner, maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Foster a supportive and constructive work atmosphere by addressing and resolving conflicts calmly and effectively.
  • Develop and assign work tasks for the housekeeping team and distribute them appropriately.
  • Evaluate work to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure that all housekeeping requests and complaints are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Authorize supply orders and maintain appropriate stock levels of linens, guest amenities, cleaning products, and uniforms.
  • Manage items classified as "Lost and Found" in accordance with company protocols.
  • Conduct daily inspections of room attendants' carts, linen storage areas, stairwells, public spaces, and guest accommodations as per company guidelines.
  • Coordinate the preventive maintenance schedule for rooms and common areas with the maintenance team.
  • Prepare the annual budget for the housekeeping department.
  • Generate housekeeping-related reports for management as required.
  • Demonstrate initiative in job performance by anticipating the needs of guests and team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in housekeeping within the hospitality sector is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions presented in written, oral, or scheduled formats.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English to effectively communicate with guests and team members.
  • Competence in performing basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Team-oriented mindset is necessary.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision in a highly autonomous environment.
