Job Summary
Shaker for ChristianaCare Direct is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Home Health Care department. As a Full-time Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and infusion treatments to patients in their homes, ensuring accurate dosing and monitoring of treatment outcomes.
- Conduct lab draws and other diagnostic tests as needed to support patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on cancer treatment-related topics, including symptom management and self-care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
Requirements
- Two years of nursing experience in a home health care or oncology setting.
- Advanced nursing degree or certification as an Oncology Nurse (OCN) by the Oncology Nursing Society is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve patient care goals.
Working Conditions
Potential exposure to infectious diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and body fluids is a requirement of this role. Rotation/travel to satellite facilities may be required.
