Key Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance and support to South Dakota businesses and industries to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and standards.
- Conduct thorough safety inspections and assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Develop and implement effective safety programs and procedures to prevent injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborate with employers, employees, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and health in the workplace.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest OSHA regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and provide expert advice to clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Health, Safety, Construction Management, Technology, or related field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software and ability to learn new software and technologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the state.
- Minimum of one year of experience with OSHA General Industry and/or Construction Standards, OSHA Consultation Programs/Policies/Procedures.
- Experience in identifying and evaluating safety hazards in the workplace.
- Experience in abating identified safety hazards according to OSHA standards.
- Experience as a presenter at safety seminars and/or conferences.
