About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Service Writer to join our team at the City of Farmington New Mexico. As a Service Writer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vehicle maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of the Vehicle Maintenance Superintendent or designee to provide exceptional customer service to our clients.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and members of the public.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to provide clear and concise information to customers regarding vehicle maintenance services.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure that all vehicle maintenance services are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide support to the Vehicle Maintenance Superintendent in the development and implementation of vehicle maintenance policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
