Overview: The Operations Access Control Systems (ACS) Hardware Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing the organization's capabilities by overseeing the procurement, fabrication, shipping, deployment, and quality assurance of access control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement, assembly, and deployment of both new and refurbished access control hardware and software, including logistical arrangements.
  • Collaborate with field personnel to monitor and support hardware and ACS operations.
  • Partner with management to ensure operational efficiency across various platforms.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to hardware and software deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure quality assurance for access control hardware and software systems.
  • Conduct testing of access control hardware and software systems, including troubleshooting and audits.
  • Maintain comprehensive checklists and inventories of deployed and in-stock ACS hardware.
  • Oversee return merchandise authorization (RMA) processes.
  • Manage ACS inventory budgeting and oversight.
  • Process purchase orders and approve invoices.
  • Forecast hardware needs and design hardware and software scopes.
  • Work closely with operations management to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Communicate with clients regarding hardware logistics and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Coordinate hardware and equipment shipping schedules.
  • Support marketing and sales initiatives aligned with business development goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Competencies:

  • Professional experience in a relevant role is beneficial.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exhibiting an analytical and goal-oriented approach.
  • Readiness to work in field environments, including construction sites for equipment installation and testing.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Capability to evaluate and train internal team members.
  • Experience in training third-party service providers and clients.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and various business software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in operations, warehouse management, supply chain management, rental equipment, or inventory control.
  • Familiarity with Internet, cellular, BLE, and NFC technologies is advantageous.
  • Eligibility for performance-based bonuses based on individual and company performance.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required.
  • Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are necessary.
