Key Responsibilities:
- Procures components, materials, and supplies essential for the manufacturing process utilizing Oracle ASCP (Workbench). Places orders and expedites as required. Engages with the I-supplier platform to accept or decline supplier modification requests.
- Acquires MRO items, including office supplies.
- Analyzes daily reschedules or movement reports.
- Fosters relationships with suppliers by managing accounts and comprehending commodities.
- Oversees inventory by conducting assessments to ascertain inventory status and placing orders based on the MRP system and production forecasts.
- Addresses various quality concerns, including managing rejected materials, notifying suppliers of quality issues, processing defective components, and enhancing raw material specifications. Collaborates with the In-house Quality Team to implement changes following FMEA and PPAP procedures. Conducts negotiations and makes recommendations for settlements with vendors regarding defective or delayed shipments. Authorizes invoice payments or merchandise returns.
- Assists in managing SPPAPs for the organization. Communicates with the Corporate Commodity Manager and their Category Analyst via email. Suppliers will need to upload results for corporate approval. Once approved, our Quality Team must be notified. Updates Planners throughout the process, who will coordinate with customer service on customer orders.
- Manages invoices within our Markview system. Codes and approves non-PO items. Reviews PO items for receiving/pricing discrepancies and resolves issues to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Adheres to standard work practices and SOPs.
- Maintains an organized and clean workspace.
- Complies with all EHS and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.

- 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, and/or procurement.
- Associate's degree.
- Experience with unions.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Quick learner, adaptable, and people-oriented.
- Demonstrated understanding of customer service expectations and the cost considerations of the business.
