Phlebotomist II Float

Overview:

As a Phlebotomist II Float, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse environment where no two days will be the same. You will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for lab testing. This role requires strong communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients and prepare them for lab testing
  • Enter billing information and collect payment when required
  • Coach, mentor, and instruct new employees
  • Travel to additional doctors' offices or Patient Service Center sites when needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
