Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and uphold the surgical environment, assisting the physician during operations, and supporting the registered nurse with technical patient care tasks in the operating room.
  • Train and mentor others, serving as a valuable resource within the department.
  • Ensure optimal visibility of the surgical site through the correct positioning and securing of retractors, with or without padding, and the use of sponges for packing.
