Position Summary
We are seeking a proficient Senior Wireless Network Engineer (WWAN & WLAN) to enhance our wireless network infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing wireless systems to ensure exceptional service delivery. You will collaborate with our R&D team to innovate and develop new features for expansive campus environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and enhance wireless network systems for large-scale environments.
- Conduct experiments and produce documentation based on findings.
- Architect and validate Private 5G NR and WLAN solutions.
- Stay updated on advancements in WWAN 5G technology and WLAN networking.
- Work collaboratively with engineers across all OSI layers and corporate stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all wireless technology standards and requirements.
- Partner with R&D to introduce innovative features.
- Deliver exceptional user experiences through advanced wireless technologies.
- Provide technical support and resolve wireless networking issues.
- Perform RF planning, capacity management, and interference analysis for optimal performance.
- Implement strong security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Evaluate performance and analyze network KPIs to ensure reliability.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in WWAN and WLAN Network Engineering with a focus on wireless solutions.
- Experience in creating white papers and Proof of Concepts (POCs) for new technologies.
- Knowledge of 5G technology and wireless networking infrastructure.
- Proficient in WWAN and WLAN technologies including 5G NR, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, Bluetooth, and Zigbee.
- Understanding of governance frameworks for wireless networking, such as ISO/IEC 27001.
- Familiarity with network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and VPN.
- Knowledge of network security principles, including firewalls and encryption.
- Experience with network diagnostic and monitoring tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CWNP, or JNCIE-ENT are preferred.
- Experience with network simulation tools like NS3, OPNET, or OMNeT++.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Confluence, and Visio.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
