Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Oversight: Manage the procurement activities for raw materials and packaging, focusing on competitive bidding, supplier analysis, source selection, and purchase order management.

Forecasting & Production Planning: Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to support weekly forecasting efforts and develop models that improve production accuracy and inventory control.

Supply Chain Coordination: Integrate forecast and production data to effectively manage raw material inventory levels and enhance turnover rates.

Demand Scheduling: Develop demand schedules based on product mix to provide precise commitment dates to customer service. Conduct weekly capacity planning and monitor customer orders closely.

S&OP Contributions: Supply operating plans to the Finance Team for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, detailing volume, capacity, and line/tooling uptime to optimize finished goods inventory turnover.

Inventory Control: Reconcile and adjust inventory within SAP, perform root cause analyses for cycle count discrepancies, and manage the annual physical inventory process.

Operational Insights: Conduct analyses related to inventory management, trend analysis, financial modeling, and opportunity identification. Develop metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and enhance material utilization.

Process Enhancement: Identify and implement improvements in inventory control processes to support annual initiatives and supply chain requirements.

Market Research & Strategic Development: Analyze global market trends for key commodities, formulating strategic plans to mitigate risks and seize opportunities.

Compliance & Collaboration: Ensure adherence to procurement and inventory guidelines, coordinate with Operations on ERP needs, and negotiate supplier terms and agreements.

Supplier Relations: Manage supplier performance to ensure timely deliveries, maintain sourcing metrics, and verify invoices for payment processing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing.

Additional Skills:

Experience in purchasing and supply chain planning.

Strong understanding of cost accounting and SAP.

Proficiency in spreadsheets and Microsoft applications.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Results-driven and motivated.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Must be capable of lifting up to 10 lbs occasionally.
