Job Title: Senior Staff Attorney: Large Scale Discovery and Project Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Attorney to join our litigation team. The successful candidate will provide strategic design, consultation, and management of projects involving large scale discovery and fact development.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage large case organization, including early case assessment strategy and plan.
  • Create, track, and report on cost estimates and case budget.
  • Assist case team with legal hold/preservation issues, the meet and confer process, and protective orders.
  • Design and implement the document collection and review plan.
  • Design and implement document production planning, including the form of production.
  • Lead review and production teams.
  • Design and lead privilege processes, including review, logs, and claw backs.
  • Collaborate and assist the case team with pleadings, motions, and written discovery.
  • Lead the deposition and witness preparation support process.
  • Lead the fact development and trial preparation support processes.
  • Lead trial support and compliance support teams.
  • Respond to work requests from LPS management on a variety of issues and special projects.
Qualifications:
  • J.D. degree from a major, accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California Bar in active status and in good standing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Relativity, Case Dynamics, CaseMap, and Case Notebook.
  • Flexibility to work long hours and travel on short notice.
  • A minimum of 10 years of complex litigation experience in a law firm, from case inception through trial.
  • Ability to manage a project team to achieve objectives.
  • Strong organizational, reasoning, and research skills; creativity; attention to detail; and initiative.
