Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Manager for our Data Science Team, who are dedicated to harnessing the power of data science to drive innovation and tackle complex problems while prioritizing user privacy.

About the Role

As the Manager of the Data Science team, you will oversee the team's efforts to collect, analyze, and interpret vast amounts of data while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The insights are used to improve Apple's products and services, to inform strategic directions, and to improve user experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the team's efforts to collect, analyze, and interpret vast amounts of data
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
• Develop team members to achieve their professional goals while committing to diversity and equity
• Foster a culture of innovation within the team by encouraging experimentation, diverse perspectives, learning from failure, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• BS in Statistics, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Analytics, Applied Math, Computer Science
• 2+ years management experience leading Data Analytics teams
• Track record of ensuring high levels of team and customer success and satisfaction, ideally in the area of Big Data
• Technical proficiency in advanced statistics, modeling knowledge, data visualization, relational databases, and/or Python
• Experience with applying Big Data technologies to large quantities of data

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Detail-oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience leading and managing a team in a cross-functional environment

What We Offer

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
