Job Summary

At Apple, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Services Engineering organization. As a key member of our Data Science team, you'll work closely with engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams to drive decision-making through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct AB tests to inform product design and offerings decisions
  • Perform exploratory analysis and derive valuable insights to drive business decisions
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other x-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Develop and maintain analytical solutions to address statistical challenges and accelerate testing
Requirements
  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Master of Science degree in Data Science, Biostatistics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related engineering field
  • Extensive background and proven expertise in statistical experimentation methods, such as AB testing, experimental design, power analysis, and non-parametric statistics
  • Proficiency in SQL, Spark, Python, R, or Scala
  • Deep understanding of common data science toolkits, such as pandas, NumPy, dplyr, etc.
  • Experience using data visualization tools, such as Tableau, GGplot, matplotlib, seaborn, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Data Science or related field
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Bayesian methods, multi-armed bandit, multivariate testing, and causal inference
  • Statistical modeling and Machine Learning experience
