About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Input Experience team at Apple. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in uncovering insights about how Apple customers experience our technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the accuracy of algorithms like Inline Prediction and Proofread
  • Understand feature usage, such as engagement with Image Playground
  • Mine user feedback data to identify model soft spots
Requirements
  • Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering or other technical field, plus 7+ years of proven experience building data-driven solutions to solve business problems
  • Solid experience with computer vision machine learning
  • A deep passion for generative models and experience in using them to create applications
  • Strong scripting language skills for data processing and development (e.g., Python), strong data-querying skills (SQL and/or Splunk, etc.), and experience with big data
  • Designing A/B experiments and conducting statistical analysis
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills, including the ability to clearly explain difficult technical topics to business partners and executives
  • Ability to dive into the details on product features and underlying architecture in order to define metrics and success criteria, working closely with feature engineering teams
  • Project leader that can continuously move multiple cross-functional projects forward with a track record of delivering on time
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with User Studies, Design, Marketing, and application development teams to deliver meaningful insights
