Job Summary

Mondelez Global LLC is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Asset Reliability and Maintenance Excellence to lead our maintenance and engineering efforts in the United States. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance costs across our manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Asset Reliability Strategies
    • Develop and coordinate strategies to accelerate and improve current maintenance practices and processes to improve equipment performance, reliability, and lower overall maintenance costs.
    • Initiate and manage corporate maintenance programs based on best practices in the FMGC industry, with an emphasis on equipment criticality, time-based maintenance, condition-based maintenance, effective planning and scheduling, completing high-quality maintenance repairs, and safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Lead Maintenance and Engineering Efforts
    • Consolidate maintenance concepts and lead the PM (Progressive Maintenance) pillar to assure consistent methodology implementation.
    • Analyze operational data and equipment performance history to deliver improvements in critical maintenance-related metrics, including unplanned downtime, PM compliance, schedule compliance, Mean-Time-Between-Failures, and maintenance-related costs.
  • Implement Best Practices
    • Institutionalize the use of CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) to track maintenance activities within plants for tracking work orders, planned/predictive maintenance, spare parts inventory/sharing, and MRO management.
    • Implement best practices for MRO inventory management to reduce inventory value and increase turns.
  • Develop and Deliver Training Programs
    • Partner with HR to develop criteria, testing protocol, and partnerships to accelerate the identification and hiring of highly skilled maintenance associates.
    • Identify technical training and development of mechanical/electrical talent throughout the organization; work with plant management to recommend training programs.
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive maintenance and reliability tactical training to maintenance resources; conduct workshops, benchmarking trips, and effectively measure results tied to activities that enhance the plant's asset reliability.
  • Collaborate with Global Counterparts
    • Leverage company subject matter experts to advance current maintenance and reliability efforts through enhanced communication and best practice sharing.
    • Conduct internal PM assessments to ensure program integrity and compliance with IL6S phases requirements.
    • Lead work with global counterparts from each region to establish global pillar standards and expand knowledge through the creation of PM content.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • 15+ years' experience within maintenance and engineering managerial roles.
    • Proven TPM expertise and PM (Progressive Maintenance) full implementation.
    • Experience leading a plant maintenance organization within the FMGC industry.
    • Demonstrated success leading within a continuous improvement environment.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment.
    • Demonstrated abilities in analytics, problem-solving, and team building with a strong financial and business acumen, project management skills, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
    • Experience interfacing with the broader supply chain functions and a high level of capability around managing relationships and outcomes.
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field required. Specialization course or MBA in maintenance engineering, project management, or TPM/Lean is a plus.
