Howard CDM, a prominent commercial construction and development firm based in Southern California, is in search of a dedicated and collaborative Construction Superintendent. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to thrive in a dynamic and engaging workplace, with a company known for fostering employee growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and uphold a well-organized job site to guarantee the safety of all personnel, clients, and visitors.
- Secure and oversee all necessary building permits and regulatory requirements.
- Lead field personnel to ensure project completion within set timelines and budgets, while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Develop and manage the construction schedule effectively.
- Procure materials and coordinate inspections as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Advocate for job site safety, promote safe work practices, and address any hazards promptly.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members.
- Communicate effectively and consistently with the project manager.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops as assigned.
- Execute additional related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Project, and other construction management software such as Procore and BlueBeam.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial construction processes and business management, along with familiarity with state contractor licensing laws.
- OSHA 30 Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- A valid California Driver's License is required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Salary: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 annually
- Reimbursements for phone and vehicle expenses, if applicable.

- Flexible Spending Accounts and Section 125 Plan.
