Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will work under the supervision of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist) to assist in both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the cardiovascular lab. Your duties will include:
- Preparing the procedure room to ensure it is fully equipped for patient care.
- Monitoring and recording physiological and hemodynamic data during procedures.
- Maintaining inventory levels of instruments and supplies.
- Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to performance improvement initiatives.
- Training new staff members in procedural protocols.
- Assisting in both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- ARRT-R certification and state licensure or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification is mandatory.
- Prior experience in a Cardiovascular Lab is preferred.
- Completion of a cardiovascular technologist training program focusing on invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring is preferred.
- BCLS (AHA) certification is required upon hire and must be maintained.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- Proficient computer skills are essential.
