Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Unit, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations.
- Addressing the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care in the surgical environment.
- Maintaining continuous communication with physicians regarding patient conditions.
- Assisting in the upkeep of medical equipment and inventory.
- Assessing the readiness and functionality of procedure rooms and equipment.
- Gathering necessary supplies for individual cases to support the Cardiovascular Laboratory team.
- Monitoring physiological and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Continuously observing and documenting patient conditions while in the Cardiovascular lab.
- Engaging in performance improvement initiatives and quality enhancement activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required upon hire and must be maintained.
- A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care setting is required.
