**Position Summary:**

Perpetual Labor Sourcing LLC is in search of proficient and qualified Underground Equipment Operators for our coal extraction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of various mining machinery to safely and effectively extract coal. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of underground mining techniques, machinery operation, and adherence to safety regulations.


**Primary Duties:**

- Operate underground mining machinery, including continuous miners, shuttle cars, roof bolters, and other related equipment.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections on machinery and report any issues or maintenance requirements.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Oversee machinery operation and modify controls as necessary to ensure efficient coal extraction.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and timelines.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to guarantee optimal functionality.
- Keep accurate records of machinery usage, maintenance, and any incidents.
- Comply with all company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Assist with additional mining tasks as needed.


**Requirements:**

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience operating underground mining machinery in coal mining.
- Strong knowledge of underground mining operations and safety measures.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, safety guidelines, and equipment specifications.
- Good problem-solving abilities and mechanical skills.
- Capability to work in confined spaces and challenging conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Valid underground mining certification (if applicable).


**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Certification or training in specific mining machinery operation.
- Familiarity with MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) regulations.
- Experience with emergency response protocols in underground mining.


**Physical Demands:**

- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) consistently.
- Capability to work in a physically demanding and potentially hazardous environment.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
