About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Labor Delivery. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, and create, implement, and evaluate care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Therapeutic Connections: Build strong relationships with patients and families, manage discomfort, and maintain a professional demeanor to foster trust and confidence.
  • Education and Empowerment: Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices, and assess and document learning needs regularly.
  • Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Work with colleagues and community to create care plans, use different strategies for problem-solving, and recognize limitations to prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
  • Professional Development and Community Service: Contribute to peers' development, demonstrate commitment to community service, and adhere to nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures.
Requirements
  • Nursing Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures, and be knowledgeable about nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines in your area.
  • Communication and Technical Skills: Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, proficiency in medical terms, and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.
  • Education and Licensure: Hold a current and valid nursing license and a specialized field of study in nursing.
