Job Overview
Homeless Solutions, a pioneering force in Morris County for 40 years, prioritizes its staff as the driving force behind its continued success. As a Dynamic Supportive Housing Coordinator, you will provide comprehensive Case Management services to formerly homeless individuals residing in shared, permanent supportive housing. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our skilled team, reporting directly to the Women's Campus Program Manager.

About the Position
This onsite, full-time, hourly position may be eligible for up to one remote work day per week at management discretion. You will be responsible for:
  • Providing crisis intervention, assessment, advocacy, and service linkages for residents presenting with behavioral health concerns through ongoing supportive counseling and case management support.
  • Offering in-home services based on individualized needs, which may include facilitating house meetings, creating and enforcing shared-housing agreements, providing guidance and support for residents regarding life-skills and tenancy-skills, and ensuring all basic needs are met.
  • Maintaining timely and well-organized records, including input in the HMIS system, client consent form, intake, contact notes, service plans, annual updates, activity attendance, and discharge.
  • Collaborating with the Volunteer Manager and Development Team to plan and execute special events, such as therapeutic and life-skill programming and in-kind donation drives to benefit residents.
  • Conducting outreach calls and suitability screenings for new program applicants.
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with other agencies and representing Homeless Solutions in a positive manner.
  • Providing as needed guidance and direction for volunteers and interns.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related discipline; experience with residential settings or permanent supportive housing programs is preferred. Persons with lived experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations (i.e., chronically homeless, severely and persistently mentally ill, those with co-occurring disorders, domestic violence survivors, etc.) is required.
  • Knowledge of Morris County social service resources and affordable housing resources, HUD-funded projects is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of and demonstrated experience with administrative functions and Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance and reliable transportation are required during scheduled hours for this position.
