We're seeking a skilled Medical Surgical RN to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a MedSurg RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
- Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
- Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
- Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of patients.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.
- BLS certification
- 2 years of experience in acute care
As a Medical Surgical Travel Nurse, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. You should also be able to easily lift 20 pounds and move or lift patients as needed.
