We're seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team at Fifth Third Bank. As a key member of our mortgage lending team, you will be responsible for originating residential mortgage loans and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and other referral sources to generate new business opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date on Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies and procedures, as well as available loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Collect and review loan applications, credit reports, and other documentation to ensure accurate and timely loan processing.
  • Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to provide updates and progress reports on loan applications.
  • Manage a pipeline of originated loans through closing and maintain accurate records and reports.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; four-year college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of mortgage sales experience and a proven track record of success.
  • Established book of local referral sources and existing mortgage sales of $1 million per month.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Proven computer skills and basic sales technique skills.
  • S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) required.
