About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in an institutional setting. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medications for pharmacist verification prior to refill in automated dispensing machines.
  • Pack and label medication orders requested from units, including unit dose packaging products as indicated.
  • Deliver medications to automated dispensing machines and use expiration tracking feature.
  • Monitor automated dispensing cabinets notifications and alert pharmacists if unable to resolve notifications.
  • Deliver patient medication doses to the proper unit area(s) and return unused or discontinued doses to the pharmacy.
  • Retrieve discharged patient medications from storage areas on nursing units to reduce the opportunity for wrong-patient related safety concerns.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
  • No experience required.
