About the Role

This is a critical position for our Mission Systems team, responsible for the development and implementation of secure systems and cyber security engineering tasks related to our next generation security enabled Radio Systems and Cryptographic Systems.

The successful candidate will work closely with a highly motivated and dedicated team of professionals to execute cyber engineering development activities for our Radio and Crypto product line offerings, helping to provide security enabled solutions to our channel facing partners.

The role will involve participating in the secure systems development lifecycle, including trade study execution, system design, requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirement traceability, systems integration, verification testing and qualification.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation and a drive to see new technology and capability matured into fielded solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and cadence of AGILE execution plans that are in compliance with program cost and schedule needs
  • Understand risks and variances and assist in the development of mitigation plans
  • Participate in and facilitate Agile team ceremonies, Agile sprint reviews, user story refinement and end of sprint product demos
  • Gain technical leadership experience, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to very influential individuals within Mission Systems
  • Obtain invaluable experience working with our secure processing subject matter experts in addition to security and crypto certification specialists, our customer base, and our product line crypto team

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience with secure system design, requirements management, interface definition, integration, and test
  • Experience in Systems Security Engineering process development and deployment
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. DoD security clearance
  • Any DoD IA certifications such as Security+, CISSP, OSCP
  • Recent and relevant experience with the secure systems engineering development process including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, verification, and validation
  • Experience with STIGs
  • Experience with the NSA Certification process
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework
  • Experience using the Atlassian resource suite, specifically: Jira and Confluence
