Job Overview:
As a Guest Services Intern, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the experience of our guests through our Guest Services Office and Call Center. Our commitment is to deliver exceptional service to every guest, every day. You will help create memorable experiences for our visitors at Cedar Fair.
This internship is designed to provide a comprehensive educational experience focused on hospitality, guest service, and effective communication. You will engage in significant projects that will allow you to gain valuable insights into the hospitality industry and related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist guests in our Guest Services Office and through our Call Center, addressing inquiries and providing information.
- Research and document answers to guest questions and resolve complaints through various communication channels.
- Build rapport and trust with guests to foster relationships and uphold our esteemed reputation.
- Effectively communicate our Ride Admission Program to guests.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance guest experiences.
- Maintain the Guest Management System database.
- Conduct internal audits of guest experiences throughout the park.
- Learn and retain information to be cross-trained in various arrival process locations.
- Support the Guest Services Manager with special projects as needed.
- Provide guest service in accordance with Cedar Fair standards, including initiating interactions and offering assistance.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in your work area, adhering to Cedar Fair Safety guidelines.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Learning Objectives:

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college/university, majoring in hospitality, tourism, communications, business, or a related field.
- Interest in hospitality, communications, or business management.
- Demonstrate initiative and a commitment to safety, service, courtesy, cleanliness, and integrity.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Exhibit a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Show attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work with multiple internal systems and retain substantial information.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
