We are seeking a highly skilled Animal Care Technician I to join our Insourcing Solutions team in Cambridge, MA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring, observing, and recording animal health and welfare daily, as well as completing various standard animal husbandry duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of animal breeding, health, and housing.
  • Follow all procedures to maintain housing areas, including room or facility personnel entry; personnel protective equipment use, spraying in all equipment and materials into controlled areas.
  • Operate equipment following all safety guidelines.
  • Work cooperatively with the on-site supervisor and/or facility veterinarian to assist with restraint, handling, and manipulation of various animal species, including mice, rats, and other rodents, and possibly rabbits.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, Biology, or Biological Science preferred.
  • 6-12 months experience performing basic animal care desired.
  • Interest in achieving ALAT certification upon eligibility.

The pay range for this position is $23 to $25 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
