Job Summary

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our team at the Texas Health & Human Services Commission. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to individuals, including daily assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic health problems.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, including medication management and education.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Conduct rounds, review infirmary and hospitalized patient status, and provide on-call coverage as needed.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely documentation, including dictation of annual summaries and pre-procedural histories and physicals.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an advanced practice registered nurse educational program accredited by a national nursing education accrediting body.
  • Clinical nursing experience, including experience in supervising or leading the work of others.
  • Registration or licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Texas or another state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Certification as an advanced practice registered nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing.
