Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team at the Texas Health & Human Services Commission. As an APRN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, under the supervision of a physician.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct daily assessments, including diagnosis and treatment of acute health problems or injuries, and document all findings and interventions.
  • Provide chronic care to individuals, including quarterly assessments and review of treatment plans.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely documentation, including dictation of annual summaries and pre-procedural histories and physicals.
Requirements
  • Registered nurse in the State of Texas or in another state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Certified as an advanced practice registered nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Must have, or can obtain, a current registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
  • Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI#) as defined by Medicare Part B and enroll as a Medicaid and Medicare Part B provider.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical nursing experience.
  • Experience in supervising or leading the work of others.
