Job Title: Medical Assistant Certified

As a Medical Assistant Certified, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with physicians, residents, nurse practitioners, and nurses to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians and healthcare professionals in providing clinic services, including vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, immunizations, and documentation of results.
  • Perform and document blood pressure, height, and weight measurements.
  • Conduct phlebotomy, EKGs, and other screening tests as directed by a physician or nurse, including immunizations.
  • Gather and process patient information, including data entry into electronic medical records.
  • Assist with clerical duties, such as answering phones, greeting patients, and registering patients.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Develop and deliver special projects as assigned.
  • Utilize time efficiently in the performance of administrative functions.
  • Engage in effective communication with staff to ensure smooth operations and problem-solving.
Requirements:
  • Medical Assistant Certification (MA-AAMA, MA-AMT, MA-NCCT, or MA-NHA) required.
  • Hearing Conservation and Spirometry certifications preferred.
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting in a similar position preferred.
