The Clinical Resource Nurse plays a vital role in enhancing patient care and outcomes in the Infusion Center at Emerson Hospital. A key aspect of this role is mentoring and educating Infusion Center staff, providing skills labs and resources to support clinical staff. Flexibility with scheduling is essential to support all shifts.
The Clinical Resource Nurse partners with the Director to ensure operational readiness of the Department in providing direct nursing care for patients. This position has operational oversight responsibilities and participates in care planning and delivery, utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care in accordance with the Nursing Service Department's philosophy and objectives. The Clinical Resource Nurse facilitates communication between the Department and other areas, serving as a mentor and role model for staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical support to improve patient care and outcomes in the Infusion Center
- Mentor and educate Infusion Center staff on clinical skills and best practices
- Participate in care planning and delivery, utilizing the nursing process
- Facilitate communication between the Department and other areas
- Serve as a mentor and role model for staff
Education: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing school
Experience: Minimum two years of experience in Infusion/Out-Patient Nursing with demonstrated leadership abilities
Licensure and/or Certification: Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts, BLS healthcare provider certification, and ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
Skills: Basic nursing skills, assessment skills, critical thinking skills, organizational skills, computer skills, and ability to maintain confidential information
