Cell Recycling Production Technician

As a critical member of Tesla's manufacturing team, you will play a key role in ensuring the operational availability of our production equipment. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, as well as factory automation.

This position requires a strong understanding of troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and effective communication. You will work collaboratively with process and equipment engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing day-to-day coverage for production line equipment, responding promptly to alarms, breakdowns, and production requests
  • Diagnosing equipment failures, identifying root causes, and communicating actions taken to the team
  • Achieving Journeyman Level proficiency on all assigned machines, overseeing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting/repair, cleanliness, and equipment escalation
  • Taking initiative to enhance preventive maintenance documents and schedules under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and Leads
  • Performing major equipment repairs and rebuilds, including some weekends and holidays
  • Efficiently utilizing manufacturing systems (MES, Spares Inventory, Issue Tracking) for effective operations

We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in electrical/electronics, mechanical/machining, or automation/PLC. Strong Allen Bradley PLC experience is desired. Proficiency in using various hand and portable tools, general machining, and welding is required. Familiarity with common workplace software and ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and electrical schematics is necessary.

**Estimated Salary:** $80,000 - $110,000 per year
