Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications.
  • Monitor work and communicate with fabricators, clients, and engineers to ensure quality and meet project requirements.
  • Produce daily written shop reports to document progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in welding inspection or related field.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience performing QA/QC of bridge fabrication.
  • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications (e.g., UT, MT, PT).
  • Experience performing QA/QC of bridge and highway structures fabrication.
  • AWS D1.1/D1.5 experience.
  • Coating Inspection experience.
