Job Summary

The Construction Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Construction Design-Build Quality Program across various locations. This role ensures that installations comply with applicable plans, codes, standards, specifications, and construction practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and communicate Construction Quality Plan requirements to the project management team.
  • Collaborate with the project management team on the set-up and implementation of key processes and application methods.
  • Develop and issue the Construction Quality Plan based on specifications, codes, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Coach, train, and mentor field quality personnel on the Construction Quality Management System.
  • Identify, document, and track conditions adverse to quality.
  • Support the Corrective Action resolution process.
  • Review and confirm compliance of subcontractor Quality submittals and Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Confirm Welding Procedure Specifications and associated Procedure Qualification Records.
  • Perform site assessments and audits to confirm compliance with the implemented Construction Quality Management System.
  • Comply with all Safety & Health requirements and monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 11 years of experience managing and implementing quality control procedures, or an Associate Degree in Engineering, Construction, Welding Technology, Nondestructive Examination, or a related field with 9 years of experience, or a Bachelor Degree in the same fields with 7 years of experience.
  • Detailed-oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong computer and communications media skills.
  • Certified Welding Inspector-AWS is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with 50% travel required. The primary location is US-IL-Chicago, with other locations in the United States.
