We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team as an Academic Enrichment Program Instructor. This role will involve implementing engaging academic enrichment activities for students in grades 4-7 as part of our Reaching Higher Afterschool Program.
Key Responsibilities- Program Implementation: Develop and implement lesson plans to deliver academic enrichment activities that cater to the needs of students in grades 4-7.
- Support Services: Provide individualized tutoring and homework assistance to students, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.
- Mentorship and Role Modeling: Conduct yourself in a manner that serves as a positive role model and mentor to students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and productive learning environment, ensuring the well-being and engagement of all students.
- Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with students, families, and school-day personnel, as well as create and lead parent and family education and service events.
- Professional Development: Participate in 18 hours of professional development per year to enhance your skills and knowledge, meeting licensing requirements.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure program operations comply with Child Day Care Licensing rules and regulations, as well as industry quality standards and grant requirements.
Requirements
- Education and Certifications: Hold a Bachelor's degree in a child-related field, such as elementary education, secondary education, or physical education, and possess a teaching certificate (active or inactive).
- Experience: Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience working with youth in a structured program setting, showcasing your ability to teach effectively and manage a classroom.
- Character and Qualities: Be a person of good character, possessing the health, emotional stability, maturity, and strength to carry out assigned duties.
