Job Description

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the comprehensive human resources program, talent development, recruitment, and dedicated employee support. You will evolve the Human Resources and Talent functions into a holistic approach that prioritizes employee well-being. Your strategy and programming execution will span every facet of the employee experience, from sourcing, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, benefits, health & wellness, career development, employee relations, and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic People Leadership: Design and implement people strategies that drive organizational growth, impact, employee satisfaction, and mission alignment.
  • Human Resources Program: Lead, oversee, and monitor compliance, benefits, payroll, retirement, licensure, educator pipeline, substitute educators' programs, policies, and compensation strategy.
  • Talent Recruitment and Retention Strategies: Develop and execute the sourcing, vetting, hiring, onboarding, and retention of top talent.
  • Performance Management: Implement highly effective systems for individual goals, career development, and overall employee success.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Create and foster a culture of inclusive hiring practices, equitable workplace policies and programs.
  • Employee Relations: Offer programs, resources, and support for the overall success and wellness of all staff members.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A strong track record of managing teams to ambitious goals.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing innovative human capital systems, including talent sourcing, recruitment/selection strategies, human resources (including compensation, benefits, & labor relations), performance management, training/coaching, labor policy, and strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success in human resources, organizational leadership, non-profit leadership, and/or educational leadership.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate staff while reaching across functional teams to accomplish organization-wide goals.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Human Resources and/or talent management.
  • An advanced degree.
