Position Overview
This role is based onsite and focuses on providing technical expertise to gear manufacturing operations and inspection teams, leveraging engineering knowledge to enhance quality standards for gears and splines.

Key Responsibilities
1. Utilize UTS Gear Engineering software for size calculations, creating DXF files, and designing long lead tooling.
2. Develop and maintain NC programs for Gear Hobbers, Gear Shapers, Gear Grinders, and Gear Inspection machines.
3. Assist in the design of hobs, cutters, and grinding wheels.
4. Create and maintain cutting parameters on process sheets for gear machining.
5. Innovate new and improved manufacturing methods (DFMA).
6. Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure they meet part requirements, leading projects for upgrades and new equipment procurement.
7. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance productivity, safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
8. Support the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to ensure product functionality and cost efficiency.
9. Read and interpret quality standards and specifications.
10. Participate in pre-production product-design reviews to ensure manufacturability of new designs.
11. Develop and document setup sheets using SOLIDWORKS for numerically controlled machines.
12. Establish machine speeds, feed rates, and cutting configurations using vendor-specific software.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial) preferred; an Associate's degree or equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in gear manufacturing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, UTS Software, and CAD Design software.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
