The Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of the Martin Foods team, responsible for overseeing the maintenance department and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. As a seasoned maintenance professional, you will be responsible for creating a highly functioning department with a well-organized parts department, a well-documented PM system, and a thorough analysis of our equipment and its capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management
    • Direct reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Director
    • Indirect relationships with all Plant, Warehouse, and Corporate Management
  • Maintenance and Operations
    • Maintain the highest levels of workplace safety and food safety at all times
    • Ensure all equipment is running safely and properly, with minimal downtime
    • Understand all equipment needs for the plants and provide necessary maintenance support
    • Control all department costs, including labor and inventory/parts
  • Inventory and Logistics
    • Develop and manage a robust inventory/parts system/program
  • Team Development and Performance
    • Develop a high-performing team and actively promote company values
    • Develop and maintain KPIs to monitor progress around key deliverables

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related management experience (food processing environment preferred)
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Strong mechanical ability and working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation required
  • Full range of body motion required

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work in cold, wet, and hot environments required
