Maintenance Manager Job Description

The Maintenance Manager is a key member of the site leadership team, responsible for planning, directing, and controlling the work of the Maintenance Department to support and maintain production departments and infrastructure at the Houston site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to minimize unscheduled downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Manage and maintain a safe and efficient working environment, adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with production and other site operations.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and minimizing costs.
  • Implement and maintain a predictive maintenance program to identify and address potential equipment issues before they become major problems.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including OSHA PSM and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and maintain process safety information, including hazard assessments and risk analyses.
  • Participate in site-wide quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that maintenance activities support and enhance overall site quality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
  • 8-10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, with prior supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of chemical plant production, operation, design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of RAGAGEP, codes, and standards related to chemical plants.
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with SAP.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Able to wear high-top safety shoes, safety glasses, FRCs, and hard hat.
