About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trauma Program Coordinator to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of performance improvement processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with community trauma prevention programs, community offerings, and clinical education activities.
  • Consult with members of the care team to ensure effective and efficient patient care and desired patient outcomes.
  • Monitor national trends and data to identify opportunities for strategic follow-up and loop closure.
  • Coordinate, implement, and maintain quality improvement activities for trauma and acute care surgery services, including outcome and cost analysis, preparing benchmark data reports, hospital trauma registry (HTR) system reports, and American College of Surgeons (ACS) clinical indicators.
  • Coordinate, assemble, and maintain required documentation for verification by the Florida Department of Health and American College of Surgeons.
  • Serve as a resource for healthcare team members, patients, families, and community organizations regarding trauma and acute care surgery.

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Advanced Trauma Course for Nurses (ATCN) - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA)
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE)
  • BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
  • Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN Multistate

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years' acute care nursing experience with emphasis on trauma or related field. The selected candidate will be required to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
