Trauma Program Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Trauma Program Coordinator to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a key member of our trauma team, you will play a critical role in coordinating the development of performance improvement processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and regulations, and promoting continuous survey readiness for our Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development of performance improvement processes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Assist with compliance monitoring and promotion of continuous survey readiness for the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Services.
- Implement and maintain quality improvement activities, including outcome and cost analysis, benchmark data reports, and hospital trauma registry system reports.
- Monitor national trends and data to identify opportunities for strategic follow-up and collaborate with the care team to ensure effective and efficient patient care and desired patient outcomes.
- Assist with community trauma prevention programs, community offerings, and clinical education activities.
- Serve as a resource for healthcare team members, patients, families, and community organizations regarding trauma and acute care surgery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Required)
- Minimum of five (5) years' acute care nursing experience with emphasis on trauma or related field (Preferred)
- Advanced Trauma Course for Nurses (ATCN) certification (Preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Bending and Stooping = 60%
- Keyboard Entry = 80%
- Lifting/Carrying Patients 35 Pounds or Greater = 60%
- Pushing or Pulling lbs Non-Patient = 60%
- Reaching = 60%
- Repititive Movement Hand/Arm = 80%
- Sitting = 80%
- Standing = 80%
- Walking = 80%
Shift:
Primarily for office workers - not eligible for shift differential
