Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex mechanical components, systems, and equipment. Your expertise will be essential in driving product innovation and ensuring the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and equipment, including assembly and part drawings, and other required documentation.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers on mechanical design concepts, manufacturing techniques, and materials.
  • Research and recommend new design tools and processes to improve engineering efficiency.
  • Review and improve departmental processes and policies related to product design and development.
  • Develop multiple design concepts and present them to peers for review and feedback.
  • Collaborate with Document Control to create a comprehensive document package for product design and implementation.
  • Confirm fabrication, assembly, and installation processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Develop testing and validation plans to ensure products meet customer and Leviton requirements.
  • Analyze current designs and products for improvements and troubleshooting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience, with extensive experience in mechanical design concepts and product manufacturing.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD and drafting, with SolidWorks preferred.
  • Experience with PC Board and electronics packaging, regulatory compliance, and validation testing methods.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
