Job Description

Overview:

This position involves selling tickets during the weekdays as well as evenings & weekends preceding performances, office work, distribution of promotional material (on-campus), and assisting the production coordinator with auditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Sell tickets: Utilize sales skills to promote and sell tickets to various events.

Office work: Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and other office duties.

Distribution of promotional material: Assist in the distribution of promotional materials on-campus to promote events and activities.

Assisting the production coordinator with auditions: Provide support to the production coordinator with auditions, including coordinating logistics and communicating with candidates.

Candidate Qualifications:

- Must be currently enrolled at Oakton College in at least six credit hours during the Spring semester.

Employment over the summer is allowed for students taking at least 1 credit class during the summer, or students continuing registration into the following Fall semester.

Can show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

At time of hire a minimum GPA of 2.0 or first semester enrolled at Oakton.

Able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

Demonstrated reliability and responsibility.

Friendly, flexible, organized, courteous, and punctuality a must.

Exceptional communication and organizational skills with strong detail orientation preferred.

Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office and Google technology (GSUITE) preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Some evening and weekend hours.

Ability to complete assignments at both the Skokie and Des Plaines campuses is preferred.

Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
