We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at TMI Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery, P.A. in Arlington & Mansfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring Patient Care Excellence by managing tasks utilizing Electronic Medical Records system.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant position is a key role within our Clinical team, working closely with physicians and patients to ensure seamless patient care. Key responsibilities include escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining medical history, verifying paperwork, performing inventory, ordering stock, assisting physicians with procedures, and triaging patients.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for physical evaluations by obtaining vital signs.
  • Conduct patient interviews to obtain medical history, including past medical and surgical history, allergies, and present condition.
  • Verify all paperwork is complete and place demographic labels in charts.
  • Review charts for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all pertinent studies/diagnostics are available and last physician notes are in charts.
  • Coordinate provider schedules, respond to patient voicemails, and intake items.
  • Display MRI films or other studies brought by patients for office visits.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, including suture/staple removal under direction of physicians, application of casts/splints/DME, removal of casts/splints, monitoring/expediting patient flow, and assisting patients with mobility.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year certificate from college or technical school and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
  • Curent CPR/AED Certification a plus.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
