Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Culinary Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for our residents. If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working with older adults, we encourage you to apply.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare meals daily, as outlined on the weekly menu plan.
  • Recipe Adaptation: Alter or adapt recipes to accommodate special dietary needs of residents or to improve recipes. Recipes should be prepared with little or no added sodium.
  • Presentation: Ensure attractive presentation of food on the plate before serving.
  • Portion Control: Maintain portion control to meet budgetary requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Identify food and supplies needed for the next week's menus and report to the supervisor.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Infection Control: Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of food for infection control.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Notify manager of malfunctioning equipment or appliances.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Experience: Experience with commercial cooking or domestic cooking with large groups
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certificate: Certificate in food-preparation training is preferred
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in supervision is preferred.
  • Team Player: Willingness to learn and help others
  • Passion for Working with Older Adults: Enjoyment in working with older adults
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
