Lead Manager of Chemical Production

Position SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and self-driven professional to fill the role of Lead Manager of Chemical Production. In this pivotal position, you will oversee the transformation of raw materials and intermediate products into high-quality adhesives, ensuring compliance with established protocols and formulations while adhering to stringent safety and ISO9001 quality management standards. Your leadership will be essential in developing production teams that prioritize efficiency, quality, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhancing operational efficiency and managing production costs by emphasizing safety, quality, and compliance with engineering and EHS standards while implementing new processes, tools, and workstations.
- Building and leading dynamic production teams through effective talent acquisition, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Coordinating daily operations to boost production efficiency, providing comprehensive on-the-job training for operators, and updating necessary documentation.
- Executing production schedules effectively, meeting shipment timelines, optimizing equipment utilization, and collaborating with Quality and Engineering to refine manufacturing processes.
- Ensuring high standards of customer service by managing a responsive production team that effectively engages with external stakeholders and addresses inquiries and feedback.
- Promoting continuous improvement initiatives by involving employees in methodologies such as Kaizen and Six Sigma to enhance product quality and drive commercial success.
- Overseeing the company's ERP system, ensuring operators are trained in inventory management, manufacturing processes, and client interactions.
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment that complies with EHS and 5S standards, utilizing maintenance services to ensure regulatory adherence.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, with an MBA being advantageous.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards Enterprise - 1.
- Over 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in chemical production management.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and financial skills.
- Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices.
