Electrical Engineer - Water Sector

Stantec is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Water Sector team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and executing electrical projects in the water sector, including water and wastewater treatment plants, combined heat and power generation systems, and membrane filtration treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering design tasks on assigned projects, including engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and technical calculations.
  • Develop project scope, budgets, and design approach for all project sizes, and support marketing and business development professionals in positioning for potential projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in client project requirement meetings, coordination meetings with internal and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors in preparation and coordination of project specifications.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.
  • Perform on technically complex projects and may act as a technical resource to other team members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of ten years of related work experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) is a preferred, but licensed engineer in training (EIT) with plans to pursue a professional engineer (PE) license will be considered.
