About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Operations Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of repairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a high emphasis on HVAC and Mechanical Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, repair, maintain, monitor, and adjust HVAC systems to keep within allowable parameters.
  • Plan, select, and lay out required materials for service and repair work.
  • Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks.
  • Use building prints, schematics, and other available documents while troubleshooting system failures and work requests.
  • Manage subcontracted work to ensure proper notifications are sent, work is completed in accordance with designed scope of work, and ensures all safety requirements are met.
  • Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and machines instrumental to building operations.
  • Provide detailed information related to procurement group for new supplies and equipment.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and comply with all company policies.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to attend to emergency situations at the facility.
Requirements
  • 3-7 years of experience in a Facility Maintenance environment.
  • Working and operating knowledge of Building Automated System (BAS), preferably Metasys and Tridium.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs requests.
  • Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to climb ladders, operate machinery, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven Electrical system working knowledge a PLUS.
  • Completion of a two-year technical degree.
  • Metasys and Tridium experience is a plus.
